Description
Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) is the digitalization of the traditional drafting process, serving as the foundational language for visualizing, designing, and documenting physical systems. It means using computer software in a planned manner to create, modify, analyze, and enhance engineering designs. CAD has evolved beyond simple 2D drawing to encompass sophisticated 3D parametric modeling, serving as the indispensable bridge between abstract concepts and manufacturable reality. The necessity of adopting this technology is absolute; CAD standardizes design workflows, enables high-fidelity visualization, and, crucially, provides the precision required for mass production and complex systems integration that is unachievable with manual methods.
