Description
This study determined the community awareness and acceptability of the proposed Engineered Sanitary Landfill (ESL) in San Vicente, Camarines Norte as basis for developing an action plan. Specifically, it profiled the respondents according to age, sex, civil status, educational attainment, and employment; assessed the community's level of awareness in terms of the landfill's purpose, operational procedures, and importance; determined the level of acceptability based on its environmental, economic, and social impacts; examined the relationship between respondents' profile and their levels of awareness and acceptability; and developed an action plan to strengthen community engagement.
