Description

This study investigates the phenomenological trajectory of spiritual transformation among Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), utilizing a structured "Basic Transformation on Spiritual Navigation" framework. Incarceration is conceptualized as a high-impact disruption inducing a "Hedonic Void"—a psychological state of acute sensory and material deprivation. The research evaluates how PDLs navigate this void to achieve internal fortification (Makalig-on) and "Functional Recovery," effectively decoupling inner spiritual agency from physical confinement. A Thesis for a Master's in Spiritual Studies that the authors serve their sentences inside a cell.
