Description
Food processing refers to the treatment of food for preservation, preparation, and added value. It constitutes one of the modern Home Economics disciplines. It directs towards food security, entrepreneurship, and sustainable homes (World Bank, 2021). It is food knowledge, education, and safe processing, along with nutrition, that enable food managers, female household heads, to make choices that promote the health of the family and the household economy (Mangwane et al., 2024).
