Description
In the back room of his workshop, Samuel lived among dead seconds. For fifty years, he had repaired antique clocks, surrounded by the mechanical cadence of ticking pendulums. Yet, despite his intimacy with time, Samuel lived in constant dread of it. To him, every tick-tock was a relentless countdown to an ultimate audit, a terrifying cosmic exam upon his death.
