Description
The first time Daniel Santos noticed Mara, she was sitting alone beneath the old acacia tree near the university library. Students hurried past her, laughing between classes, comparing quiz scores, or complaining about deadlines. Mara sat quietly with a notebook on her lap, watching the world as though every conversation held a secret she wanted to understand.
