Abstract

This study investigates the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and digital literacy skills among pre-service English teachers at West Visayas State University Satellite Campuses. As digital transformation continues to shape the educational landscape, the ability to effectively utilize ICT in teaching is crucial for future educators. Despite its significance, gaps exist in the preparedness of pre-service teachers in digital literacy, particularly in integrating technology into language instruction. This research employs a descriptive-correlational design to explore the current state of ICT integration and digital literacy skills, examining the extent of ICT use in teaching and its correlation with digital literacy across various campuses. A total of 135 pre-service English teachers participated in the study. The findings revealed that respondents generally exhibited "Good" digital literacy skills and often integrated ICT into their teaching practices. However, significant differences were observed across campuses, particularly between Campus B, which showed the highest level of ICT integration, and Campus C, which lagged. A moderate positive correlation between ICT integration and digital literacy skills was found, indicating that greater exposure to ICT tools enhances digital competencies. The study highlights the need for targeted interventions, such as improved training programs and equitable access to digital resources, to further enhance ICT integration and digital literacy in pre-service teacher education.
