Abstract
This study assessed the governance model of a selected college in the Eulogio "Amang" Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST), Manila, using a quantitative-descriptive research design. A total of 285 student respondents from the College of Business and Public Administration (CBPA) completed survey questionnaires measuring three key governance dimensions: participation, transparency, and accountability. Frequency, percentage, and weighted mean were employed as statistical tools. Results indicated that the college governance model is highly effective in terms of participation (overall weighted mean = 3.31) and accountability (overall weighted mean = 3.30), and effective in terms of transparency (overall weighted mean = 3.17). Transparency emerged as the dimension with the most room for improvement, particularly in the free flow of information, clarity of academic policies, and student grievance procedures. The study proposes an enhanced governance model with targeted strategies for each dimension to strengthen institutional responsiveness and student-centered service.
