Abstract This study examined the possibilities of employing the TikTok application as a tool for extramural learning in enhancing the oral communication skills of Senior High School students. Using a descriptive- correlational research, the study employed the use of an adopted Student Oral Language Observation Matrix (SOLOM) to determine the level of oral communication proficiency of the respondents before and after the intervention, TikTok links to be watched for intervention, and list of guide questions for Focus Group Discussion (FGD) to collect feedback from the respondents’ perceptions in the development of oral communication through TikTok. The initial level of oral communication proficiency of the respondents was determined to be at an intermediate fluency both before and after the intervention. Statistical analysis revealed no significant differences in the oral communication proficiency of the respondents before and after the intervention. However, feedback garnered from focus group discussions indicated positive responses from the participants towards the use of TikTok as a learning tool. Despite the absence of a notable improvement in oral communication proficiency in post intervention, the favorable feedback from the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) suggested a promising outlook for the potential efficacy of TikTok as an educational tool. The findings of this study serve as a foundational exploration in crafting a comprehensive learning plan that leverages TikTok to enhance oral communication skills among Senior High School students. Further research, practical recommendations and refinement of strategies may be warranted to optimize the utilization of TikTok into language learning programs. A survey questionnaire was administered to 30 teachers, and the data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Pearson correlation coefficient. Results indicated that workload was the most significant challenge (mean score = 4.2), followed by stress (mean score = 4.1) and burnout (mean score = 4.3). Technological support (mean score = 4.5) and professional development (mean score = 4.2) were identified as the most effective resources, while mental health support (mean score = 3.4) was found to be less effective. Pearson's correlation revealed strong positive correlations between workload and stress (r = 0.82) and between workload and burnout (r = 0.78). The study also identified teacher-centered solutions, such as adaptive learning tools, peer mentoring, and blended learning models, to mitigate the challenges associated with ADM. The research provides actionable recommendations for policymakers, school administrators, and teachers to enhance ADM implementation and improve teacher well-being. It underscores the need for region-specific solutions, particularly in rural areas, and highlights the importance of ongoing feedback mechanisms to refine ADM practices. Abstract As the most minor administrative divisions in the Philippines, barangays play a crucial role in implementing healthcare policies and initiatives that have a direct impact on individuals' well-being. The creation of barangay healthcare policies is essential for addressing a range of complex community health issues in densely populated areas, such as Manila. To better understand how local governance mechanisms impact public health outcomes, this study examined the procedures, challenges, and effectiveness of barangay healthcare policy drafting in several Manila districts. The results showed that the creation of barangay healthcare policies in Manila is an informal, participatory process that is frequently hindered by a lack of funding, technical expertise, and community involvement. A critical aspect of policy formulation is collaboration with non-governmental groups and the City Health Office. Barangays with well-organized health committees and aggressive leadership showed increased community satisfaction and policy efficacy. The study concludes that strengthening local capacity, institutional support, and participatory methods can enhance the development and implementation of barangay healthcare policies. To ensure more efficient and long-lasting healthcare governance, ongoing training, sufficient funding, and improved interagency cooperation are recommended. Abstract The Philippine government, the separatist Moro Islamic Liberation Front, and the Moro National Liberation Front, the Muslim revolutionary groups in the Philippines, signed a peace agreement that led to the ratification of a law establishing the BARMM (Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao). It claims to provide greater autonomy to Muslim Filipinos than the defunct Republic Act 1387, the organic law that created the ARMM (Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao). In effect, the BARMM replaced the ARMM. This was accomplished with great expectations by both parties that it would address the problems that have plagued Moro-Filipino relations in the past. Moro and Filipino leaders have welcomed the benefits of the establishment of BARMM for the Muslim region, particularly in achieving lasting peace and development in Mindanao. However, it has also prompted criticism and pessimism from the Moro people, who perceive both the ARMM and BARMM as government political projects primarily intended to neutralize Moro self-determination through superficial solutions to the Bangsamoro's political and economic problems. They have cast doubt on the sustainability of BARMM based on the track record of ARMM and other government projects, which appeared to be mere tools or instruments of integration or co-optation of the Moro people. This paper will examine, in a historical context, the ARMM and BARMM as instruments or tools of the Philippine government to co-opt and integrate the Bangsamoro into the Filipino nation. Abstract This study aims to examine the usage, morphophonemic structure, and semantic distinctions of the imperfective affixes di- and pepha- in the Meranaw language. The research employed descriptive and comparative methods to collect approximately 200 words from native speakers and from interviews with elder Meranaws in Marantao, Lanao del Sur. The words were categorized into five semantic verb classes: action, emotion, cognition, communication, and experience. The findings revealed that both di- and pepha- express the imperfective aspect; however, there are significant differences in their distribution, morphophonemic structure, and semantic usage. The affix di- exhibits a broader range of application, while pepha- is more selectively used and conveys a stronger emphasis on the action. Not all Meranaw words are suitable for both affixes, necessitating careful study to preserve linguistic accuracy. The study recommends further in-depth research using fieldwork and comparative methodologies to enhance both theoretical and practical understanding of these affixes and the broader aspectual system of verbs in the Meranaw language. Abstract Flexible learning has emerged as a cornerstone of modern education, offering diverse modalities, online, offline, and blended that transcend traditional classroom boundaries. Initially adopted during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure educational continuity, it has since evolved, addressing demands for accessibility and adaptability while revealing persistent challenges. This study investigates the lived experiences of 20 higher education students in Region 8, Philippines, navigating flexible learning during the pandemic. Using a qualitative, phenomenological approach and Colaizzi's method for analysis, the research explores students' academic, emotional, and social adaptations to flexible learning. Findings highlight students' resilience in the face of significant barriers, including limited digital access, inadequate infrastructure, and diminished social interactions. Students from rural and economically disadvantaged backgrounds faced disproportionate challenges, such as unstable internet connectivity and limited access to devices, which impeded their academic progress and heightened feelings of isolation. Emotional tolls were exacerbated by delayed feedback and the lack of immediate instructor support. A framework emerged from the study, addressing critical dimensions of flexible learning through three key components: Student-Centric Design, Accessibility Institutional Strategy and Support. Grounded in theories of Constructivism, Connectivism, and Behaviorism, the framework emphasizes fostering autonomy, improving infrastructure, and enhancing social engagement. The study underscores the importance of adaptive policies, robust institutional support, and inclusive strategies to bridge digital inequities and optimize flexible learning modalities. These insights offer a roadmap for developing sustainable, resilient, and inclusive education systems to meet the demands of an increasingly digital and interconnected world. Abstract Grammatical competence is essential in developing students’ writing skills, particularly in producing academic texts such as persuasive essays. This study examined the grammatical errors found in the persuasive essays of 67 Grade 12 students at MSU–Saguiaran Community High School to identify, classify, and analyze the errors, determine their sources, and develop a grammar review material responsive to the students’ needs. Employing a quantitative-descriptive design, the study used a validated essay task, a checklist, and an error log. Errors were analyzed using frequency and percentage, and categorized by type and source. Results revealed that capitalization errors were the most common (30%), followed by word choice (15.47%), subject-verb agreement (15.09%), punctuation (14.72%), and verb tense (10.75%). Less frequent but notable errors were on pronoun-antecedent agreement, articles, word order, and spelling. Omission was the most prevalent error type, followed by misformation, addition, and misordering. Intralingual errors comprised 93.21% of all errors, while interlingual errors accounted for 6.79%. Based on these findings, a grammar review material was developed to address the most problematic areas. The study concludes that, despite prior instruction, students continue to struggle with grammatical accuracy in their persuasive essays, underscoring the need for more targeted grammar interventions. It is recommended that the developed material be integrated into remedial or review classes and piloted for evaluation, with further research exploring its long-term impact and broader applicability.
