Description

In contemporary education, the development of learner autonomy has become a central goal, particularly in digitally enriched learning environments. The seminar “Autonomy through Connection: Peer Power and Smart Digital Routines for Learners” emphasized that autonomy is not achieved through isolation but through meaningful interaction, collaboration, and structured use of digital tools. This paper explores how peer collaboration and smart digital routines contribute to fostering independent yet connected learners. It highlights the role of social interaction in enhancing engagement, accountability, and critical thinking, while also examining how digital systems support organization, time management, and self-regulated learning. The findings suggest that when learners are guided to collaborate effectively and utilize digital tools strategically, they develop stronger ownership of their learning process. The integration of peer-supported activities and consistent digital practices creates a balanced learning environment where independence and collaboration coexist.
