Academic Frontiers, 2(6), 365–373. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20966706 Read File Author(s) Alda et al. Abstract This study examined the effectiveness of education and skills training programs as tools for sustainable livelihood development among beneficiaries of the Palawan Agrarian Reform Community Cooperative Federation (PARCOFED) under the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Narra, Palawan. Specifically, it assessed the educational value of the training programs in terms of knowledge gained, skills development, and confidence in applying acquired competencies; evaluated their contribution to livelihood development in terms of income improvement, employment or self-employment opportunities, and productivity; and determined the sustainability of livelihood outcomes in terms of continued use of skills, income stability, and long-term livelihood opportunities. A quantitative research design was employed, using a structured, researcher-developed questionnaire administered to 32 respondents. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, weighted mean, standard deviation, and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation. Results showed that the education and skills training programs were highly effective, with an overall weighted mean of 3.77. The educational value of the training programs, livelihood contribution, and livelihood sustainability were rated highly effective or highly sustainable. A significant positive relationship was found between the perceived educational value of the training programs and livelihood sustainability (r = 0.608, p < .001), indicating that higher perceived educational value is associated with stronger livelihood sustainability among respondents. However, beneficiaries continued to face challenges, including a lack of capital, limited resources, and inadequate tools and equipment. Financial assistance, marketing support, market linkage, and business management training were identified as priority support needs. The study concludes that education and skills training programs can meaningfully contribute to sustainable livelihood development when complemented by ongoing technical assistance, financial support, and market integration mechanisms. Keywords agrarian reform beneficiaries, education and skills training, livelihood sustainability, PARCOFED, sustainable livelihood development

Academic Frontiers, 2(7), 1–17. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21280585 Read File Author(s) Tiu, Catherine L., Villamor, Liz Irish Ng Abstract Female teacher-coaches play a critical role in promoting students' academic and athletic development while managing the competing demands of teaching and coaching. This study explored the lived experiences of thirteen (13) female teacher-coaches in the Magallanes District, Division of Agusan del Norte, Philippines, using a qualitative phenomenological design. Participants were purposively selected, and data were gathered through expert-validated semi-structured interviews, transcribed verbatim, and analyzed using Colaizzi's phenomenological method with MAXQDA. Findings revealed that participants viewed teaching and coaching as interconnected professional identities centered on holistic learner development through instruction, mentorship, leadership, and character formation. They experienced persistent challenges related to workload, time constraints, limited resources, and emotional demands, yet these experiences also fostered resilience, adaptability, leadership, and professional growth. To manage their dual responsibilities, participants employed effective time management, prioritization, self-regulation, collaboration, family and peer support, and continuous professional development. They further emphasized the need for stronger institutional support through equitable workload policies, professional development opportunities, administrative assistance, adequate sports facilities and resources, financial support, and recognition of their contributions. Overall, the findings demonstrate that balancing teaching and coaching is a transformative process that shapes a resilient educator-coach identity and highlights the importance of comprehensive organizational support to sustain teacher-coaches' well-being and effectiveness in fostering students' academic, athletic, and personal development.
