Abstract This study examined the English proficiency of elementary school teachers at Del Pilar Community School and developed an English Proficiency Capacity-Building Training Program responsive to their identified needs. It aimed to describe the teachers' profiles, assess their proficiency in grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and fluency, determine differences according to selected profile variables, and evaluate the acceptability of the developed program. A quantitative one-group pretest–posttest design with descriptive and inferential analyses was employed. Twenty-four teachers participated through total enumeration. Data were collected using a researcher-developed test for grammar and vocabulary, a performance-task rating scale for pronunciation and fluency, and an adapted evaluation tool for program acceptability. Statistical analyses included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent-samples t -test, Kruskal–Wallis test, Dwass–Steel–Critchlow–Fligner test, and Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test at the 0.05 level of significance. Most participants were female, aged 36–40 years, held Teacher I positions, had bachelor's degrees with master's units, and had 6–10 years of teaching experience. Significant improvements were observed in grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and fluency following the four-week intervention. Vocabulary recorded the highest gain, while grammar showed moderate improvement. Pronunciation increased from moderate to high proficiency, whereas fluency improved from low to high proficiency. No significant differences were found according to sex, educational attainment, or years of teaching experience. However, significant differences in grammar and vocabulary were identified across positions or designations. The program was rated acceptable in terms of content relevance, clarity and organization, practicality, and usefulness. The findings indicate that the English Proficiency Capacity-Building Training Program was associated with substantial improvements in the participating teachers' English proficiency and may serve as a practical framework for school-based professional development. Abstract This study developed, validated, and evaluated the MARADJAW eBook as a contextualized instructional material for teaching drama to Senior High School students. The grounding was Vygotsky’s Sociocultural Theory, and the ADDIE model was the guidance to enhance students’ grasp of drama elements, writing techniques, and literary devices using localized materials. This study used a descriptive-developmental methodology with a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The authentic folktales of Surigao del Norte were gathered, translated into English by oblique procedures, and put into a digital resource. The study was conducted with 45 Grade 11 HUMSS students, with data acquired by expert validation, pretest-posttest, and qualitative input of teachers and learners. The results revealed that the MARADJAW eBook was Highly Acceptable in terms of content quality, instructional quality, technical quality, and other factors. The results also showed a statistically significant increase in the level of literary comprehension of the students after being exposed to the instructional content (p < .01), confirming its effectiveness as a learning resource. Classroom use also indicated greater student involvement, stronger cultural identity, and better application of literary principles. The study revealed that the MARADJAW eBook is an excellent, culturally-based, contextualized instructional tool that enhanced the students’ grasp of the elements of drama, approaches in producing drama, and literary devices. Abstract This study investigates the effectiveness of collaborative teaching methods in addressing the challenges of reproductive health education among adolescents in rural areas. The research employs a pre-test and post-test design, with 50 Grade 10 learners from Migara National High School serving as participants. A combination of peer discussions and group activities was implemented to overcome barriers such as discomfort, cultural taboos, and societal stigmas, which often hinder students' engagement and understanding of reproductive health topics. The pre-test and post-test assessments measured students' knowledge of reproductive health, with results showing an average improvement of 77% in test scores, indicating significant gains in student engagement, comprehension, and comfort. In-depth interviews were also conducted to gather qualitative insights into students' perceptions of the collaborative approach. The findings underscore the importance of culturally sensitive, peer-supported learning environments, contributing to the growing body of research advocating for the use of cooperative teaching strategies in sensitive subject areas, particularly in rural, resource-limited settings. However, limitations include the study's short duration and the lack of long-term follow-up to assess sustained impacts. Future research should explore the long-term effects of collaborative methods on students' retention of knowledge and behavioral outcomes related to reproductive health. Grounded in Vygotsky's socio-cultural theory and Bronfenbrenner's ecological systems theory, the research highlights the significance of parental support and the learning environment. A quantitative survey was employed to gather data from 30 parents/guardians of 4Ps students. Results revealed that although parents acknowledge their educational roles, socio-economic challenges and limited time often hinder active engagement. Teachers emerged as crucial enablers of advocacy and support, guiding parents in monitoring and engaging with their children's academic needs. The study introduced Project PARENTS—Promoting Active Responsibility and Engagement through Nurturing, Training, and Support—as a strategic intervention to address awareness, communication, and participation gaps. This multi-activity initiative, including parenting workshops, PTCs, and family advocacy campaigns, aims to strengthen home-school collaboration. The study concludes that improving academic performance among 4Ps beneficiaries requires a holistic approach centered on empowering parents and building strong partnerships between schools and communities. Abstract The rapid growth of e-commerce has transformed consumer decision-making processes, particularly among Generation Z, a digitally native cohort characterized by high technological engagement and value-conscious consumption. This study examines how Generation Z balances product cost and perceived quality when making online purchasing decisions within the e-commerce marketplace. Employing a qualitative descriptive research design, the study gathered data through semi-structured interviews with fifty (50) Generation Z students from Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST) who have prior experience with online shopping. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns across the stages of the consumer decision-making process, including problem recognition, information search, alternative evaluation, purchase decision, and post-purchase evaluation. Findings reveal that Generation Z does not equate low price with poor quality nor high price with superiority; instead, purchasing decisions are driven by perceived value, trust, and social validation. Online reviews, ratings, seller credibility, influencer content, and platform features serve as critical quality cues that mitigate perceived risk. While affordability and promotions enhance purchase intention, respondents demonstrate a willingness to pay premium prices when quality, durability, and functional performance justify the cost. Post-purchase evaluations further reinforce a cyclical decision-making process, wherein satisfaction or dissatisfaction influences future purchasing behavior and digital word-of-mouth engagement. Overall, the study highlights Generation Z as analytical, value-driven, and quality-conscious consumers who strategically navigate cost–quality trade-offs in online environments. The findings offer practical implications for e-commerce platforms and digital marketers in designing transparent, value-oriented, and trust-enhancing strategies aligned with Generation Z preferences. Abstract This study examined the effective implementation of the Professional Learning Community (PLC) and its impact on school performance among school heads and teachers in Sta. Margarita II District for School Year 2025–2026. Results informed a PLC-based school improvement strategy. Most respondents were female, married, aged 51 and above, held master’s degrees, and had over six years of teaching experience. Their performance ratings were mostly outstanding, with relevant training attended primarily at the division and district levels. The level of PLC implementation across schools was generally high, with respondents affirming consistent practices such as shared leadership, collective learning, and a unified vision. School performance, regardless of size classification, was commendable, particularly in cohort survival, retention, and promotion rates. A significant relationship was found between PLC implementation and school performance, indicating that stronger PLC practices correlate with better outcomes. However, challenges such as a lack of time, limited resources, heavy workloads, irregular participation, and weak monitoring hindered PLC sustainability. Overall, the implementation of PLCs in the district was strong, but addressing existing barriers remains essential for continuous improvement. Abstract This study examined the sources of stress, coping strategies, and perceived effectiveness of coping strategies among Filipino caregivers in Israel. The study aimed to identify the main stressors experienced by Filipino caregivers, determine the coping strategies they use, and assess the effectiveness of these strategies in managing stress. The study employed a descriptive quantitative research design. Data were collected from Filipino caregivers working in Israel using a researcher-structured questionnaire with a four-point Likert scale. The collected data were analyzed using weighted mean and ranking techniques to determine the level of stress, coping strategies practiced, and their perceived effectiveness. The results revealed that Filipino caregivers often experience stress, particularly homesickness or being away from family, language or cultural barriers, and emotional strain from caregiving duties. In terms of coping strategies, the caregivers commonly rely on communicating with family or friends for support, maintaining a positive mindset, and accepting situations they cannot control. The findings also showed that Filipino caregivers generally perceive their coping strategies as effective in managing stress, strengthening resilience, and maintaining a positive outlook while working abroad. The study concludes that emotional challenges and cultural adjustment are significant sources of stress for Filipino caregivers in Israel. However, strong family connections, positive thinking, and personal resilience help them cope with these challenges. The study recommends strengthening emotional support systems, providing training on cultural adaptation and communication, and promoting programs that support the well-being of Filipino caregivers working abroad.
