Abstract This study examined the effective implementation of the Professional Learning Community (PLC) and its impact on school performance among school heads and teachers in Sta. Margarita II District for School Year 2025–2026. Results informed a PLC-based school improvement strategy. Most respondents were female, married, aged 51 and above, held master’s degrees, and had over six years of teaching experience. Their performance ratings were mostly outstanding, with relevant training attended primarily at the division and district levels. The level of PLC implementation across schools was generally high, with respondents affirming consistent practices such as shared leadership, collective learning, and a unified vision. School performance, regardless of size classification, was commendable, particularly in cohort survival, retention, and promotion rates. A significant relationship was found between PLC implementation and school performance, indicating that stronger PLC practices correlate with better outcomes. However, challenges such as a lack of time, limited resources, heavy workloads, irregular participation, and weak monitoring hindered PLC sustainability. Overall, the implementation of PLCs in the district was strong, but addressing existing barriers remains essential for continuous improvement. Abstract This study examined the sources of stress, coping strategies, and perceived effectiveness of coping strategies among Filipino caregivers in Israel. The study aimed to identify the main stressors experienced by Filipino caregivers, determine the coping strategies they use, and assess the effectiveness of these strategies in managing stress. The study employed a descriptive quantitative research design. Data were collected from Filipino caregivers working in Israel using a researcher-structured questionnaire with a four-point Likert scale. The collected data were analyzed using weighted mean and ranking techniques to determine the level of stress, coping strategies practiced, and their perceived effectiveness. The results revealed that Filipino caregivers often experience stress, particularly homesickness or being away from family, language or cultural barriers, and emotional strain from caregiving duties. In terms of coping strategies, the caregivers commonly rely on communicating with family or friends for support, maintaining a positive mindset, and accepting situations they cannot control. The findings also showed that Filipino caregivers generally perceive their coping strategies as effective in managing stress, strengthening resilience, and maintaining a positive outlook while working abroad. The study concludes that emotional challenges and cultural adjustment are significant sources of stress for Filipino caregivers in Israel. However, strong family connections, positive thinking, and personal resilience help them cope with these challenges. The study recommends strengthening emotional support systems, providing training on cultural adaptation and communication, and promoting programs that support the well-being of Filipino caregivers working abroad. Abstract Flexible learning has emerged as a cornerstone of modern education, offering diverse modalities, online, offline, and blended that transcend traditional classroom boundaries. Initially adopted during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure educational continuity, it has since evolved, addressing demands for accessibility and adaptability while revealing persistent challenges. This study investigates the lived experiences of 20 higher education students in Region 8, Philippines, navigating flexible learning during the pandemic. Using a qualitative, phenomenological approach and Colaizzi's method for analysis, the research explores students' academic, emotional, and social adaptations to flexible learning. Findings highlight students' resilience in the face of significant barriers, including limited digital access, inadequate infrastructure, and diminished social interactions. Students from rural and economically disadvantaged backgrounds faced disproportionate challenges, such as unstable internet connectivity and limited access to devices, which impeded their academic progress and heightened feelings of isolation. Emotional tolls were exacerbated by delayed feedback and the lack of immediate instructor support. A framework emerged from the study, addressing critical dimensions of flexible learning through three key components: Student-Centric Design, Accessibility Institutional Strategy and Support. Grounded in theories of Constructivism, Connectivism, and Behaviorism, the framework emphasizes fostering autonomy, improving infrastructure, and enhancing social engagement. The study underscores the importance of adaptive policies, robust institutional support, and inclusive strategies to bridge digital inequities and optimize flexible learning modalities. These insights offer a roadmap for developing sustainable, resilient, and inclusive education systems to meet the demands of an increasingly digital and interconnected world. Abstract This study examined the implementation of inclusive education in Grade 10 English classes in selected public secondary schools in the Province of Dinagat Islands through the lens of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Anchored on the principles of multiple means of engagement, representation, and action and expression, it aimed to determine the extent of UDL-aligned instructional practices as perceived by students and teachers. It also explored learners’ perceived outcomes across affective, cognitive, psychomotor, and assessment-related dimensions and identified factors that support or hinder inclusive teaching practices. An explanatory sequential mixed methods design was employed. The quantitative phase utilized structured survey questionnaires administered to 350 Grade 10 students and 180 English teachers to assess UDL practices and inclusion outcomes. This was followed by a qualitative phase using semi-structured interviews with 10 Grade 10 students and 10 English teachers to explain the survey results and provide deeper insights into classroom experiences, challenges, and enabling conditions. Thematic analysis was used to interpret qualitative data and complement the quantitative findings. The findings revealed that UDL-aligned practices are strongly evident in Grade 10 English classrooms, particularly in creating supportive learning environments, presenting lessons in varied, accessible formats, and providing flexible opportunities for learners to demonstrate their understanding. Teachers were likewise found to implement inclusive strategies that support learner diversity through scaffolding, differentiated instruction, constructive feedback, and flexible assessment practices. The study concludes that the application of UDL significantly strengthens inclusive English instruction by addressing learner variability and reducing barriers to participation and learning. Based on the findings, a plan to strengthen implementation is proposed further to enhance inclusive English instruction in the Dinagat Islands. Academic Frontiers, 2(6), 428–435. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.21089877 Read File Author(s) Datu et al. Abstract Street food is a common dietary choice among university students due to its affordability, accessibility, and convenience. This study examined street food consumption patterns and the associated health risks among student populations, focusing on demographic factors, consumption frequency, vendor hygiene practices, and food safety awareness. A descriptive survey design was employed involving 250 university students. The findings revealed that most students consumed street food at least three times per week, with younger students, males, and undergraduates reporting higher rates of consumption. Frequent consumption, particularly from unregulated vendors, was significantly associated with gastrointestinal discomfort. Vendor hygiene practices emerged as a critical factor, with students who patronized vendors that maintained visible sanitation measures reporting markedly fewer health issues. Food safety awareness also influenced health outcomes, with higher awareness linked to a lower incidence of gastrointestinal symptoms. However, the study found that moderate awareness did not always result in safe consumption practices, indicating a gap between knowledge and behavior. The findings highlight that street food consumption poses notable health risks when combined with frequent intake, poor vendor hygiene, and limited food safety practices. Strengthening food safety education, improving vendor hygiene standards, and enhancing regulatory enforcement are essential strategies to reduce health risks while preserving the role of street food in student life.
