Abstract This study evaluated the effectiveness of the Online Rewriting Life Story Intervention Program (ORLSIP), a modified version of the Narrative Connection Intervention applying the Translational Storytelling Heuristic from the Communicated Narrative Sense-Making (CNSM) theory (Koenig Kellas, 2018). ORLSIP is a three-week structured, narrative-based program designed to help participants process and reframe pandemic-related experiences and mental health challenges. Conducted entirely online, the study was completed by eleven (n=11) Filipino COVID-19 survivors aged 24 to 40 who experienced mild to severe cases of the virus before vaccine availability. Using a pre-test and post-test control group design, anxiety and depressive symptoms were measured with the Hopkins Symptoms Checklist (HSCL-25). Results demonstrated significant reductions in depressive symptoms within the experimental group. And anxiety symptoms also decreased significantly within the experimental group, though between-group comparisons did not reach statistical significance. The effect size analysis highlighted practical relevance for anxiety reduction. These findings underscore that ORLSIP is an effective, accessible, culturally relevant intervention for reducing psychological distress, particularly in crisis contexts where face-to-face therapy is inaccessible. The study reinforces the applicability of narrative-based online therapy in digital formats, supporting mental health recovery among vulnerable populations. Given its effectiveness, ORLSIP can be integrated into public health programs, chronic illness management, and workplace wellness initiatives. Future research should explore its long-term efficacy, hybrid delivery models, and applicability to other trauma-affected populations. By expanding digital mental health interventions, ORLSIP has the potential to bridge critical gaps in psychological care and support global mental health resilience. Ginamit sa pag-aaral ang deskriptibong pamamaraan at corpus linguistics upang matukoy ang mga madalas gamiting register ng Gen Z at Alpha. Sa pamamagitan ng talatanungang binalido ng tagapayo at ng mga miyembro ng lupon ng tagasuri, isinagawa ang interbyu sa labing-apat na mag-aaral na kabilang sa hanay ng Gen Z at Alpha. Pagkatapos magsagawa ng interbyu, ginamit ng risertser ang thematic analysis sa pag-aanalisa ng mga nakalap na mga datos. Ginamit ang Critical Discourse Analysis bilang metodo sa pag-aaral. Mula sa nakalap na datos mula sa aktwal na pakikipanayam at pakikipagtalastasan, sinuri ang mga morpolohikal at semantikong katangian ng mga salita. Ang mga natukoy na register ay nagsilbing batayan sa pagbuo ng isang diksyunaryong bilinggwal (Filipino-Ingles) upang maging lunsaran at kagamitang pampagtuturo at tulay sa pagitan ng iba’t ibang henerasyon at magsilbing dokumentasyon ng buhay na wika. Inaasahan na ang awtput ng pag-aaral na ito ay makatutulong sa mga guro, lingguwista, at mga tagasalin sa pag-unawa sa makabagong diskurso ng mga kabataang Pilipino. Abstract This study investigated the relationship between community engagement and the social skills of college students at Ifugao State University. Employing a quantitative descriptive–correlational design, the researchers surveyed 292 undergraduate respondents across five colleges using a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed with SPSS v29 through descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and multiple regression. Results revealed a statistically significant positive correlation (r = .542, p < .001) between participation in community engagement and social skills development, encompassing communication, empathy, teamwork, and leadership. Students demonstrated high levels of teamwork and empathy, while communication and leadership skills were moderate. Areas of interest such as education, health care, and environmental initiatives drew the highest participation, whereas politics was the least prioritized. Regression analysis further identified areas of interest as the sole significant predictor of students’ community engagement (p < .001). These findings confirm the critical role of experiential and social learning in developing interpersonal competencies, suggesting that community engagement enhances both personal growth and social responsibility. While limited by its focus on a single campus and reliance on self-reported data, the study provides valuable insights for higher education institutions seeking to strengthen community-based programs. It is recommended that universities expand partnerships with local organizations, integrate service learning more robustly, and incorporate structured training to improve communication and leadership skills. Future studies may extend the scope to multiple institutions and utilize longitudinal or qualitative approaches to capture the sustained impact of engagement. Abstract As the most minor administrative divisions in the Philippines, barangays play a crucial role in implementing healthcare policies and initiatives that have a direct impact on individuals' well-being. The creation of barangay healthcare policies is essential for addressing a range of complex community health issues in densely populated areas, such as Manila. To better understand how local governance mechanisms impact public health outcomes, this study examined the procedures, challenges, and effectiveness of barangay healthcare policy drafting in several Manila districts. The results showed that the creation of barangay healthcare policies in Manila is an informal, participatory process that is frequently hindered by a lack of funding, technical expertise, and community involvement. A critical aspect of policy formulation is collaboration with non-governmental groups and the City Health Office. Barangays with well-organized health committees and aggressive leadership showed increased community satisfaction and policy efficacy. The study concludes that strengthening local capacity, institutional support, and participatory methods can enhance the development and implementation of barangay healthcare policies. To ensure more efficient and long-lasting healthcare governance, ongoing training, sufficient funding, and improved interagency cooperation are recommended. Abstract The study aimed to decrease self-injurious behaviors in an 11-year-old child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Baseline data revealed the child's tendency to be non-responsive to materials present, verbal instructions, and praise. Various materials, such as baskets, eggs, clothespins, and nuts and bolts, were used, employing both full physical and partial prompts, as well as conditioned motivating operations (CMO), to decrease self-injurious behaviors. The outcomes indicated that the child could perform tasks but still required time and effort to do so consistently, especially across different activities and with changes in therapists during the intervention. Moreover, fluctuations in the numbers of correct and incorrect responses appear to be associated with both the frequency of daily activities and the approaches therapists use when working with the child. Further research is needed to understand better the effectiveness of reinforcement strategies in reducing self-injurious and other problem behaviors in children with ASD.
